![]() As part of our transformation to the Library of the Future, the Technical Library is excited to announce the launch of a new document ordering system: Infotrieve’s Virtual Library™ 2.0+. Infotrieve’s Virtual Library™ 2.0+ is a document delivery service that helps find and fill requests for published articles, conference papers, dissertations, and patents, with some capabilities for 24/7 e-delivery of requested content. Infotrieve puts you in the driver’s seat, allowing you to order articles and check on their fill status in real time, with documents typically arriving via email within 24 hours. Infotrieve’s Virtual Library™ 2.0+ will be available starting September 22. As of September 22, new orders to libdoc@sandia.gov will no longer be accepted, though orders in process will be fulfilled. Orders for reports, standards, and books will still be processed internally via the same order form. The Technical Library will continue to cover document costs in FY10. The Technical Library’s partnership with Infotrieve institutes a self-service, customer-driven document-delivery model with benefits such as time efficiencies and reduced Sandia labor costs. Additional benefits include increased ability to determine and predict the use of Technical Library e-resources and the demand for items outside the current collection.
